  Breeding
We have a variety of broodmares, mainly OL- and OS-horses, Hanoverian, Westfalen and Holsteiner. But all others are welcome just as well. Your broodmare stands in well lighted and large loose-boxes, partly as outdoor-boxes. In winter times they go in their herd out on our paddocks on a daily basis. In summer we have plenty of pastures available.
Inseminating

The inseminating takes place on our farm. We get the sperm everyday direct from the stud farms in our surrounding (i.e. Schockemöhle, Vorwerk, Böckmann) or have it mailed to us by NET.
With 35 broodmares we had a gestation rate of 95% in 2008.

Veterinarian

During season veterinarians from the horse clinic Lüsche are on the farm 3 times a week and by appointment. Further do we work with qualified homeopathic and chiropractic professionals. A Dentist checks all horses on a regular basis.
Foaling

We provide video controlled foaling boxes. Therefore a continues guarding of the mare and the foal is given.

The birth announcement is given by the belt-system “Birth Alarm”.

We are looking back on over 15 years of experience in foaling with about 30 mares per year. If needed the special treatment of foals in i.e. bottle-rearing or prematurity is self speaking.

Rearing

Rearing is done in by gender separated groups. Each herd stays together till the horses reach the age of 3.
Modern, large open freestall barns take care of the humane husbandry. The close to the farm pastures are all rubber fenced
and being checked daily.
It goes without saying that deworming, shots and farrier care are done regularly.
The feeding of the horses is based on the demand of each individual horse. Next to oats and cubes are cereals and mineral nutrients on the menu. During the winter carrots are added.

The roughage consists of high quality hay or dry silage and is offered ad libitum. Hard feed is fed 3 times a day. During summer mineral nutrients are offered additionally. The pasture fertilizing is especially designed for horse husbandry and is based on ground control.
